I am a parent of a son with Autism. He is now an adult. When he was diagnosed my first thought was, "how will I do this?" I now had 4 kids under the age of 2 and I was expecting another!
Guess what? I took a deep breath and said to my amazing husband, "we can do this!" It will be hard but it will be okay. We have each other and that is all we need.
I truly believe you are given what you can handle, and with my love to make things better, my ever lasting energy and my eagerness to learn, I knew that I was up for the test! I never said the next 21 years would be easy but I would never change what I have.
I have the most beautiful 5 children, I am still married to my amazing husband and I am still doing what I can to make life for my son the best it can be while assisting others to see the light at the end of their tunnel.
